World No Tobacco Day has been marked in Norway since 1988. On 31 May each year, global attention is focused on tobacco-related deaths and diseases. Every year, the World Health Organization (WHO) determines the theme for the day, which in 2013 is "Ban tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship". They are responsible for the global selection. In Norway, the day is marked locally.

The day acts as a platform to demand equal rights for sex workers. It's held on June 2 every year.

The living conditions of sex workers are often exploitative. It is because of the reason that sex work is criminalised in several countries and therefore, its workers are not treated like those working in other professions. Due to the lack of rights which are offered to other workers, sex work is often risky.

Pentecost (Holiday and sunday)

Pentecost is a Christian holiday celebrated 49 days after Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. On this day, the Holy Ghost appeared to the apostles in the form of tongues of fire from heaven. The day commemorates the coming of the Holy Ghost to the apostles.
